Our conference seeks to explore conversations beyond equity, and justice by presenting tangible solutions respective to diverse professional fields. The ultimate goal is to highlight sustainable results that bridge public health, policy, healthcare initiatives, and health behaviors. This conference will highlight keynote speaker Ruqaiiijah Yearby and panelists, featuring University of Michigan School of Public Health alumni, faculty, and experts in the field of public health. In addition, the conference will feature our second annual case competition to engage students from across the University of Michigan with a didactic opportunity for engagement and competition. This conference will be hosted by the Public Health Students of African Descent (PHSAD) and will be funded by Student Academic Multicultural Initiatives, Region V Training Center, Michigan Public Health Training Center, and the University of Michigan, School of Public Health.
