Lello Guluma discovered her passion in public health as an undergraduate. This began her journey to delivering a speech at the graduation ceremony where she celebrated the completion of her master’s degree and the beginning of her future as a public health practitioner.
Master's students Brittany McQueer, Shadi Larson, and Meghan Watkins interned at Liquid Gold Concepts, a company founded by School of Public Health alumni, whose mission is to create hands-on tools for breast health and lactation education.
Public health master’s student Rylee Doucette has her sights on medical school. With her cross-professional training at Michigan Public Health, she hopes to help medicine pivot toward a greater emphasis on prevention.
Alumna Brenda Liz Henry joined New York City government because she wanted to be part of a system that would improve outcomes for children and families. In her hometown, she's driving evidence-based interventions focused on a critical period of development among low-income children and families who are predominately children and families of color.
Lilah Khoja’s path to public health wasn’t a straight one. After completing a degree in international development, she worked in a variety of industries, trying to find the right fit. In her work with Syrian refugees in Turkey, she realized public health was her calling.
