We will increase and expand on local and global partnerships to grow our impact and innovation at scale.
Collaboration is core to public health. Identifying solutions to population-level problems requires multidisciplinary approaches incorporating a range of perspectives and partners. Partnering with communities is essential to uncover root causes of public health issues and to determine sustainable solutions. Michigan Public Health has a long history of engaging with communities near and far and establishing effective partnerships with other academic units, nonprofit organizations, government agencies and corporate entities to drive meaningful change and improve the health of populations.
From the longstanding local community partnerships through the Detroit Urban Research Center to global collaborations in more than 70 countries to the Bank of America-powered Collaboration for Equitable Health in partnership with the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association to the Apple Hearing Study, Michigan Public Health knows the strength and potential impact of collaboration and partnerships.
Further investment will set Michigan Public Health up to seek out even more impactful partnerships with community organizations, nonprofits, government agencies and corporate partners to continue to drive impact in communities in Michigan, across the US, and around the globe.
