Introduction to Public Health
Public Health 200 is intended to serve as an introduction to the major issues of public health with a focus on the United States, although global health issues are considered as well. We will examine what those issues are, what determines them, and how they can be altered. This course provides a broad overview of the field, as well as a good foundation for students who wish to pursue additional coursework in public health.

- Are interested in medicine, nursing, dentistry or other health professions and want to gain a more holistic viewpoint of the populations and people you treat.
- Care about preventing disease and helping people live healthier lives.

- Want to work on the world’s most pressing health challenges like gun violence, food insecurity, infectious disease and climate change.
