Summary
My global public health research examines the influences of dietary and environmental exposures to metals and endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) during sensitive developmental periods (pregnancy, early childhood, adolescence) on physical growth and maturation and the development of obesity and cardiometabolic risk in later life. Our work is based on a long-standing collaboration with the Instituto Nacional de Salud Publica (INSP) of Mexico, involving participants in ELEMENT, a 3-generation birth cohort study.
