Summary
Dr. Neitzel has conducted applied occupational health and safety research in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa and he has also provided guidance to global hearing loss prevention efforts made by the World Health Organization. He is interested in incorporating new methodologies and exposure sensing technologies (including crowd-sourced data collection approaches) into his research, and his global research focuses on worker populations with high exposures to physical and psychosocial occupational hazards and/or informal or precarious employment. He has a strong interest in translating research findings into global occupational and public health practice, and in developing occupational health guidelines and standards.
