A new fundraising initiative, the 'Look to Michigan Public Health' campaign, aims to dramatically accelerate the school's impact on global public health challenges by expanding scholarship offerings, establishing new research centers, launching innovative community partnerships, and creating modern, flexible facilities as hubs for collaboration.
Through her generous gift to the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Cleo Caldwell, professor emerita, is making sure that her legacy of putting students first will last well beyond her lifetime. By creating the Caldwell Health Equity Fellowship Fund, she will make attending Michigan Public Health more affordable for students with an interest in conducting research or engaging in practice activities focused on achieving health equity.
Many students at Michigan Public Health are the first in their family to attend college. Across the school, these students model the resilience and dedication needed to approach some of public health’s biggest challenges.
The University of Michigan School of Public Health has partnered with the Peace Corps to launch a Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program within the Department of Nutritional Sciences. The program offers discounted tuition for returned Peace Corps volunteers who are pursuing a Master of Public Health degree in Nutritional Sciences.
